Recycled Gifts from old Belts
Tonight's post is again about recycling things for your own use or for an unusual gift.

I've been doing some serious "spring-cleaning" during the past few days and found this lovely belt in a wardrobe. It is really too pretty to throw away but also not in a good enough condition to wear anymore. Read more...
As you can see on the photo, it now holds my collection of earrings. Neat and tidy and easy to find (and match) with other jewelry.
You can give new life to any old belt with some glue and spray paint or a fabric cover. Punch more holes along the length of the belt if necessary. Beads, puff- or glitter paint/glue can be used to decorate it further. Give free rein to your imagination and turn old things into pretty, useful gifts.
Idea: Buy one or two pairs of earrings or make it yourself if you are going to use it as a gift.
Tip: Make your own puff paint by mixing powdered chalk and wood glue.

Hi Elsie, long time ago I have told it to you, "Barlady" is wearing a broad belt instead of a "mini-skirt" ... but your idea, to do something with an "older" belt it's sooo nice again !!!!

Hi Elie , What a good idea!!!!
Only you shourl wear earings from silver? If i do not dothat my ears do hurt soon.
Thanks for the idea
See my blog and have a good and creative weekend!
KH, maybe a "broadbelt" can also be turned into such a nice earring holder. Thanks for the idea....lol
JoAnn, Luckily I can wear gold or silver earrings, never had problems with that. I sometimes use headpins (for beading) to make ear hooks and it also works fine.
Hi Elsie
As always i can guarantee I'll find a fabulous idea on your blog. As all my belts are far to small for me now :o( at least I can put them to some good use :o)
